Pride in Belper is a charity that fully supports the LGBTQ+ communities of Belper. The event celebrates equality, representation, and inclusion for all people of diverse sexual and gender identities. Pride in Belper works to create a safe space where people can express who they truly are, with a focus on visibility, solidarity, and challenging discrimination. The event includes the annual Parade (known locally as 'The Strutt'), community stalls, and various activities throughout the day.

Belper Pride 2026

The 2026 edition of Pride in Belper features the annual Parade (the 'Strutt'), which gathers at Market Place from 11am with the parade starting at noon. The route travels down King Street, Strutt Street, New Road, and Campbell Street. An accessible parade route is available for those unable to walk the full distance. The event includes community stalls, sponsor activities, and continues throughout the day. Road closures are in effect on Saturday 2nd August from 7am-8pm, with parade-specific closures from 12pm-1pm.
