About

Congleton Pride was founded in 2018 to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for the LGBTQIA+ community in Congleton. The annual Pride event celebrates diversity and aims to educate the public about the LGBTQIA+ community. Beyond the main Pride celebration, the organisation runs year-round events including Caffeine Connections socials and fundraisers. Congleton Pride is a registered charity (number 1207409) run entirely by volunteers in collaboration with local organisations including Congleton Town Council, the local police, and community churches.

Congleton Pride 2026

Congleton Pride 2026 took place entirely at Congleton Town Hall on Saturday 18 July. The daytime event (10am–5pm) featured market stalls from LGBTQIA+ community groups and local makers, live music and dance performances including Mark Benson, Jasmine Allen Estate, Andy Hofton, LB Dance, Monday's Monsoon and The Proud Marys. Arts and crafts workshops in the Bridestones Suite offered taster sessions in bead art, felt making and crochet. A quiet safe space was available in the Spencer Suite. The evening After Party (7pm–midnight) celebrated with live performances from Claire Brocklebank (as Kylie and Madonna) and a disco with founder and co-chair Ronan Clayton as DJ.
