About

Essex Pride is an annual celebration of LGBTQ+ life in Essex and beyond. Established in 2004, it has become a cornerstone event showcasing Essex's successful approach to diversity and inclusion. The event is run by a volunteer board of Trustees as a not-for-profit registered charity, with all proceeds supporting operational costs. More than just a huge party, Essex Pride inspires everyone to embrace equality and demonstrates that people from all walks of life can join together to celebrate diversity.

Essex Pride 2026

Essex Pride 2026 takes place on Saturday 20th June. The Free Pride March departs from Chelmsford Theatre at 11:20am. The Central Park Pride Festival runs from 12:00pm to 10:00pm, with live acts on the Festival Stage from 12:00pm to 9:30pm and on the Cabaret stage from 12:30pm to 6:15pm. Last entry to the park is 8:30pm. Advance tickets (1 March–19 June) range from £6 (child 5-12) to £24 (adult 18+), with family packages at £66. On-the-gate prices are slightly higher. Under 5s are free.
