About

The Pride Walk is a protest procession organized by the Pink Wednesday Foundation in central Nijmegen, held annually on Pink Wednesday (typically in July). Armed with rainbow flags, protest signs, and pink streamers, participants walk approximately 30 minutes through the city center to draw attention to acceptance for the LGBTIQ+ community. The walk departs from St. Stevens Church and concludes at the Waalkade near the Honey Honey party venue. Various LGBTIQ+ organizations, political representatives, and community groups participate, with special focus on LGBTI+ sports associations.
