Hertford Family Pride Day

Hertford Family Pride Day is a FREE community celebration held on the picturesque main lawn of Hertford Castle. The event aims to bring the local community together in a safe and welcoming environment to celebrate inclusion and diversity with the message "BE KIND. BE YOURSELF. ALL ARE WELCOME". The day features activities for children, face painting, a stilt walker, an 'Express Yourself' area with karaoke and dress up props, a 'Conversation Corner' with information workshops and wellbeing sessions, local charities, and food and drink vendors. Hertford Castle is also open for visitors to explore free of charge. The event includes live music and dance entertainment, including a performance by rapper and storyteller Nate Watson (who has worked with Ed Sheeran and D Double E) and a dynamic dance performance by Alpha Dancers, an inclusive 'dance family' celebrating anthemic music together.
