Kendal Pride is a community-led pride festival celebrating LGBTQIA+ visibility in Kendal and the South Lakes. The event offers something different from other UK pride festivals, rooted in the natural environment with outdoor adventures, arts, creativity, film, and family-friendly spaces. The organisation works to empower local businesses to become queer-friendly year-round, with events throughout the calendar beyond the main pride weekend.

The 2026 Kendal Pride weekend runs 12-14 June with a full programme of activities including outdoor adventures (hikes, runs, swims, bike rides, climbing), creative workshops, live entertainment, the Pride Procession, talks and wellbeing sessions. Events span Friday evening through Sunday, centred at Abbot Hall with activities throughout Kendal.
